The Support Center
The Support Center is Raumsonde's reference library. It opens in a new browser tab when you click the Support button in the upper right of the home page.
The Support Center contains:
- Raumsonde Documentation – This handbook, explaining the features and use of the tool.
- Event Planning Guides – A series of thematic guides covering topics relevant to organising an event in a public space, such as permits, safety, and noise. These guides are an ongoing work in progress and are regularly revised, updated, and expanded.
- Use Cases – Case studies of specific event formats – such as music events, theatre performances, open-air cinema, and street festivals – that walk you through the typical permit requirements, common challenges, and practical considerations for each type. These can serve as a useful reference point when planning your own event in a similar format.
- Contact Lists – Details and links for the different authorities involved in the permit procedure for events in public spaces in Berlin, including district offices (Bezirksämter), the Streets and Green Spaces Department (Straßen- und Grünflächenamt), the Environment and Nature Conservation Office (Umwelt- und Naturschutzamt), and the Public Order Office (Ordnungsamt).
- Community Forum – A space where you can raise questions or issues with the Raumsonde team, share experiences, and ask other Berlin-based organisers for advice. The forum is organised into categories so you can find relevant discussions or start a new topic.

If you have a question about using Raumsonde, want to report a bug, or would like to suggest a new feature, click the Support button in the page header and find the correct category for your request. A member of the Raumsonde team will get back to you shortly after you submit your request.
We welcome feedback, suggestions, and ideas for improvement. Raumsonde is continuously developed based on the needs of cultural organisers and the communities they serve. Your input helps make the tool better for everyone.
